Collier County Sheriff's Office Takes Down Drug Trafficker

Collier County Sheriff's Office made a major bust last night when they recovered a large amount of illegal narcotics during a traffic stop.

Rebecca Resnick, 39, of 9403 Foxglove Lane, Naples, was arrested for multiple felonies including methamphetamine trafficking 14 grams or more, possession of fentanyl, and possession of oxycodone. The arrest was made on Nov. 12, 2022, after deputies found 17.7 grams of fentanyl inside her vehicle, along with other drugs.

Sheriff Kevin Rambosk was pleased with the bust, stating “Collier County is a safer place with these drugs off the street and this individual back in jail.”

The traffic stop was conducted around 7 p.m. Thursday in the area of Airport-Pulling Road and Poinsettia Avenue. Upon closer inspection, deputies saw narcotic paraphernalia in plain view and decided to conduct a probable cause search. Deputies confiscated 19.7 grams of methamphetamine and 2 grams of fentanyl. Additionally, they found oxycodone, buprenorphine and methadone.

Deputies reported that Resnick was uncooperative and resisted their attempts to take her into custody. Resnick had already been out on bond for fentanyl trafficking.

The bust is an important reminder that Collier County is cracking down on drug traffickers and will not tolerate this type of criminal activity. The Sheriff's Office will continue to work diligently to ensure the safety of the community and remove dangerous drugs from the streets.
