The Marco Island City Council is seeking residents to fill several vacancies on advisory committees and boards.

These committees include the Beautification Advisory Committee, Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Committee, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, Pension Board of Trustees for Police Officers and Firefighters, and Waterways Advisory Committee.
To be eligible for appointment, individuals must be residents and registered voters of Marco Island. Members of these committees and boards will be expected to attend year-round meetings, contribute to group discussions, conduct research, and prepare reports as needed. They will also be required to follow state laws such as the Sunshine Law, Public Records Law, and Code of Ethics.
Residents interested in applying for a position on one of these committees can do so through the City of Marco Island's website or by submitting a paper application at the City Clerk's office. Accommodations can be made for individuals who need assistance in completing the application. Appointments will be for four-year terms. The deadline to apply is 9 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
