Public Notice: Five Upcoming Marco Island Meetings In January

Residents of Marco Island, Florida, are invited to attend five public meetings taking place in January of 2023.


The Hideaway Beach Tax District Board will hold a public meeting on Friday, January 13, at 10 a.m. in the Community Meeting Room, located at 51 Bald Eagle Drive. The agenda for the meeting will be available on the City of Marco Island website, cityofmarcoisland.com, and at City Hall, located at 50 Bald Eagle Drive. The meeting will be broadcast live on the City’s cable television channel and via the website, unless hindered by technical or weather-related issues. All interested persons are invited to attend and register to speak. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, accommodations can be provided at no cost to individuals with disabilities or impairments who contact the City Clerk’s office as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the meeting.


The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, January 17, at 3:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room. The agenda for the meeting will be available on the City of Marco Island website and at City Hall. The meeting will be broadcast live on the City’s cable television channel and via the website, unless hindered by technical or weather-related issues. All interested persons are invited to attend and register to speak, and reasonable accommodations will be provided at no cost to the individual.


The Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, January 18, at 9 a.m. in the Community Meeting Room. The agenda for the meeting will be available on the City’s website, www.cityofmarcoisland.com, and at the City Hall Reception Desk, located at 50 Bald Eagle Drive. The meeting will be broadcast live on the City’s cable television channel and via the website, unless hindered by technical or weather-related issues. All interested persons are invited to attend and register to speak, and reasonable accommodations will be provided at no cost to the individual.


The Marco Island City Council will hold a regular meeting on Monday, January 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room. The agenda for the meeting will be available on the City’s website, www.cityofmarcoisland.com, and at the City Hall Reception Desk. The meeting will be broadcast live on the City’s cable television channel and via the website, unless hindered by technical or weather-related issues. Any person who may seek to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at the meeting is responsible for making a verbatim record of the proceeding. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodations will be provided at no cost to the individual.


The Code Enforcement Magistrate will hold a hearing on Tuesday, January 31, at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Meeting Room. The docket for the hearing will be available on the city website and at City Hall. The proceeding is open to the public and will be broadcast live on the City’s television channel and via the website, unless hampered by technical or weather-related issues. In accordance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodations will be provided at no cost to the individual.
